Brownfields 2021 will take place from December 8-11, 2021 – Wednesday through Saturday.
It is our intention to host the conference as an in-person event. Should conditions related to COVID-19 preclude a safe in-person event, it will be rescheduled for a later date and not moved to a virtual event. All fees paid for Registration, Sponsorship, or the Exhibit Hall will be applied to the rescheduled event.
The 2021 National Brownfields Training Conference will take place at the brand new Oklahoma City Convention Center located at 100 Mick Cornett Drive, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73109.
An abundance of discounted sleeping rooms will be available within walking distance to the Oklahoma City Convention Center. Housing, through the official housing agency, is available here.
Yes, complimentary wireless internet will be available in all public areas and meeting space at the Oklahoma City Convention Center.
Yes, coat check/bag storage will be available during registration hours on the first level of the Oklahoma City Convention Center outside Hall C.
Yes, a comfortable room is available on all three levels of the convention center for nursing mothers.

Yes, CEUs for planning (AICP CM) and continuing legal education (CLE) for certain states will be offered. We will also assist attendees with self-reporting their credits for other disciplines. More information on how to obtain credits and which educational sessions are eligible will be available closer to the conference.

In order to offset the cost of the conference, there is a registration fee based on your stakeholder type. Please be advised that registration fees will increase once the advance registration period ends on December 8, 2021. For more detailed registration rates check back soon.
Advance registration is open now and will close on December 7, 2021. Onsite registration, and the increased fee, will apply beginning on December 8, 2021.
Yes, you may assign your registration to a different person, but ICMA must be informed of the change at least 1 month prior to the event.
Exhibitors and Exhibit Hall
Exhibitors receive three (3) full conference registrations per 10×10 booth. Once an exhibiting company exceeds its allotted number of complimentary registrations, the exhibitor may elect to purchase additional exhibitor registrations.
A separate exhibitor registration site will be available in the coming weeks. Once the deposit has been received, an email with registration instructions will be sent. In the meantime, reserve your spot in line for picking your booth space by filling out our Exhibitors Early Bird Signup Form.
Yes, all our exhibitors are considered conference attendees and are encouraged to join the educational programming, including registering for any Mobile Workshops and the Community Reception.
Accessibility, Parking and Transportation
The Oklahoma City Convention Center is located 10 miles (approx. 20 minutes) from Will Rogers World Airport (OKC).
Uber, Lyft, Taxis and Shuttles have separate pick-up locations at Will Rogers World Airport. Uber and Lyft, designated as TNC’s have a designated pick-up area on the upper level of the terminal, outside of the United Airlines ticket counter. The area is marked as “TNC Pick Up.” Taxi fare is approximately $30.00 each way or $18.00 each way with Uber or Lyft. Pricing subject to change.
The 1,106 total space and 24 ADA Accessible Space Convention Center Parking Garage, located at 15 Mick Cornett Drive, Oklahoma City, OK 73109, offers a rate of $10 for a 24 hour timeframe. The garage offers self service for both the Convention Center and the adjacent Omni Oklahoma City Hotel.

From Will Rogers World Airport (OKC): Take terminal Drive to S. Meridian Avenue. Continue onto S. Meridian Avenue. Use the right lane to merge onto OK-152 E/Airport Rd, via the ramp to I-44/Downtown. Keep left at the fork, follow signs for I-44 E/I-40/Tulsa/Downtown and merge onto I-44 E. Take exit 120B for 1-40 E towards Ft. Smith. Merge onto I-40. Take exit 148 B towards Oklahoma City Blvd. Continue onto Oklahoma City Blvd, until you reach Robinson Ave. Make a left turn onto Robinson Avenue. The Oklahoma City Convention Center entrance will be on your left.
Traveling East on I-40 E. Take Exit 150A towards Shields Blvd. Make a left turn onto South E.K. Gaylord Blvd. Turn left onto Oklahoma City Blvd. and left again onto South Robinson Ave. The Oklahoma City Convention Center entrance will be on your left.
Traveling West on I-40 W. Take Exit 151A towards Oklahoma City Blvd. Make a left turn onto South Robinson Avenue. The Oklahoma City Convention Center entrance will be on your left.
Traveling South on I-235 S/US-77 S. Take Exit 1C from I-235 S for Oklahoma City Blvd. Merge onto Oklahoma City Blvd. Turn left onto South Robinson Ave. The Oklahoma City Convention Center entrance will be on your left.
Traveling North on I-235 S/US-77S. Take Exit 125C from I-235 N. Follow Oklahoma City Blvd to South Robinson Avenue. Turn left onto South Robinson Ave. The Oklahoma City Convention Center entrance will be on your left.
Entrance to Main Loading Docks. The main loading docks are accessible by utilizing EK Gaylord Avenue and SW 5th St. entrance on the West side of the building. As soon as you turn West onto SW 5th St., take your first left and then a quick right into the docking area. Please check in with the loading dock attendant before entering the area. Please note, the loading dock is to be used only for deliveries and loading/unloading. Parking in the loading dock is prohibited.
Yes, gluten free, vegan, or other types of per diem lunches will be available. The OKC Convention Center will create per diem offerings that will include, gluten free, vegan and any others that attendees may submit on their registration form.
